PayPal Cuts Service With BitChute

BitChute, a peer-to-peer video hosting platform and YouTube competitor, released a statement on Wednesday (November 14th, 2018) explaining that PayPal, a payment processing system, has “limited” their account, meaning they can no longer send or receive payments using PayPal. Gab Banned From Paypal Following Synagogue Shooting

According to Gab.com CEO Andrew Torba, PayPal terminated its contract with Gab today (Saturday, October 27th, 2018). PayPal’s decision may have been influenced by the discovery of synagogue shooter Robert Bower’s use of Gab. If the shooting did play a role in the decision, this would be unusual for PayPal, considering it has not terminated a contract with other social media platforms that the gunman used, nor has it ever done so with prior violent criminals.
